Lieutenant Edward M. Farrell, (61), passed away suddenly at his home on March 20, 1943. Lt. Farrell was appointed to the Cranston Police Department in 1916. He was promoted to sergeant on January 19, 1940, and to lieutenant October 1, 1941. He was vice president of the Cranston Police Relief Association and a communicant of St. Mathew’s Church. He was survived by his wife Margaret and three sons. He’s buried in St. Ann’s Cemertery.
