Detective Raymond V. Deschene, a lifelong resident of Cranston, passed away on September 19, 1989 at the age of 62. He retired in 1974 at the rank of detective after 23 years of service to the citizens of Cranston. He was a navy veteran of World War II. After his retirement he worked for the Fleet National Bank security department for 15 years. He’s buried in St. Ann’s Cemetery.
