Sergeant Arthur Wilson – Cranston Police

     Sergeant Arthur C. Wilson is believed to have been appointed to the Cranston Police Department in January of 1921.  He was promoted to sergeant in late December of 1924, or early January of 1925, after the unexpected passing of Sergeant Maher on December 21, 1924.  It is believed he was still on the CPD in 1942.

Patrolman James Hogan – Cranston Police

     Officer James Hogan is known to have served on the Cranston Police Department in the early 1920s.  No further information is known at this time.

Patrolman Thomas Cooney – Cranston Police

     

     Patrolman Thomas Cooney is known to have been on the Cranston Police Department in the 1920s.

Patrolman William E. Cassidy – Cranston Police

   

     Patrolman William E. Cassidy was appointed to the Cranston Police Department in April or May of 1929.  No further information is known at this time. 

Patrolman Bertil H. Jentzel – Cranston Police

 

     Patrolman Bertil H. Jentzel was appointed to the Cranston Police Department as a special officer in October of 1925, and appointed a regular officer on March 20, 1926.  He served as a motorcycle patrolman covering the Oaklawn, Knightsville, and Arlington sections.  He resigned from the department in August of 1929 to take a job in Toronto, Canada.  

     On his last day, his fellow officers gave him a surprise farewell party at the Knighstville station, and presented him with a wrist watch.
