Officer Henry E. Driscoll – Cranston Police

 

     Officer Henry E. Driscoll was appointed to the Cranston Police Department in 1917.  He patrolled the Arlington beat, and in 1925 he was recognized for capturing a man wanted for armed robbery hiding in a cellar on Niantic Avenue.   In 1927 he was assigned to the traffic division as a motorcycle officer.

Officer Severino R. Valletta – Cranston Police

     Served during the 1940s and 1950s.  No further info at this time.

Chief Patrick Trainor – Cranston Police

Chief Patrick Trainor

     Chief of Police Patrick Trainor was first appointed a police constable in 1889.  He served as Chief of Police from 1909 to 1910. 

Lieutenant John J. Sullivan – Cranston Police

     Lieutenant John J. Sullivan was appointed to the Cranston Police Department on October 1, 1942.

Sergeant Arthur E. Soderberg – Cranston Police

     Sgt. Arthur E. Soderberg was appointed to the CPD on January 17, 1936, and he retired in 1961 after 25 years of service.
