     Officer James Leo Bergin, Jr., was born December 27, 1927.  He served in the Pacific Theatre with the U. S. Marine Corps during  World War II.  He was appointed to the Cranston Police in July of 1950.  He passed away on September 1, 1966 and is buried in St. Ann’s Cemetery.
